Evangelist Jared Dixon

Jared Dixon was born in Jacksonville, Florida and raised in South Georgia where he lived for 23 years. He was raised in a Christian home. His grandfather (Donnie Davis) started Camden Baptist Church in 1975 and pastored it until he retired and appointed his father (Edward Dixon) as pastor of the church in 1997. Jared has been a preacher's kid and grandkid for all of his life.

November 26, 2000, on a Sunday night, he realized that being saved wasn’t about who “papa or daddy was” but that it was a personal and individual decision and a move towards God. That was the day he trusted in the Lord and got saved!

In 2009, at a Saturday youth meeting on October 5th, he answered the call to preach. He had run from it and wrestled with it for nearly four years.  

 

"Thank God for the day  I surrendered - not my will but thine be done!"

 

Jared met Jennifer at a church where he had been invited to preach, and that’s where their relationship began. June 8th, 2013, they were married and began their lives together. They now have three wonderful and beautiful girls.
